A former Woolworths manager is suing the company for $1.3 million, claiming she was sexually harassed by her former boss.

Alysha Wilkie, a former night duty manager at Woolworths Blacktown, claims the store's former manager, Steven Clark, harassed her over several months in 2011, asking her inappropriate and suggestive questions, and finally dragging her into his office and assaulting her.

Photos tendered in court show bruising on Ms Wilkie's left arm days after the alleged incident, which was partly captured by CCTV cameras.

Woolworths and Mr Clark deny the allegations. Mr Clark, who was told not to come into the Blacktown store, has since been promoted.

Mrs Wilkie stopped work in October 2011, and has been diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder and anxiety. She lodged a sexual harassment complaint in the Human Rights Commission in September 2012.
