The Tasmanian government is hoping to sell two former school buildings in Hobart.
The sale will generate the government about $1.8 million.
The proposed sales have already generated community concern.
The former Macquarie Street State School in South Hobart and the old Mount Stuart kindergarten are to be sold.
The Education Minister Lin Thorp says the decision was made after consultation.
