Committee to review mine safety guidelines

The Queensland Government has established a new committee to draft better safety guidelines for blasting at mine sites.
The draft guidelines will be released in May and aims to prevent workers from inhaling blasting fumes.
The committee is made up of mines inspectors, explosives manufacturers, mining company and the Construction, Forestry, Mining and Energy Union (CFMEU).
