ASU keen on fair pay panel

A wage increase in the female-dominated social and community sector workers sector hinges on an equal pay test case presently before the Fair Work Authority.
The Australian Services Union (ASU), which is leading the case, is confident the Fair Work Authority will reflect equal pay cases already won under NSW and Queensland workplace laws.
Unions are seeking an equal remuneration order for a pay increase of up to 50 per cent, phased in over a period of five years.
Do you think this is the only sector which has gender imbalance? If so, is that the only problem with these sectors or is it more to do with the prominence and regard the work has in society?
