In a recently posted article by Truman Hoyle on the Mondaq service, key changes to Australian Consumer Law are outlined as a result of the Competition and Consumer reforms.
Changes to the Trade Practices Act include:
- A change of name
- Joint administration and enforcement
- Newly expanded definition and unfair practices in the Australian Consumer Law
- National Consumer Guarantees and product safety provisions
