Greens predict legalised gay marriage from Gillard this term

The SMH has reported this morning that the Australian Greens are predicting same-sex marriage to be legalised within the current term of the Gillard government.

The Greens leader Bob Brown was quoted as saying: "I confidently predict we will see an end to discrimination and the marriage laws during this period of government,".

The growing support to legalise gay marriage is reflected in the recent Nielsen poll, published in Fairfax shows majority support for gay marriage at nearly 60%. Click here to read more.
