Telstra Technicians take control of Customer Computers

As of today Telstra will now have remote access to customer computers and smartphones.
Telstra today announced it's help desk consultants will now have remote access to computers and smartphones to fix common technical
support issues.
The service will allow staff to get inside the computer and fix things themselves
rather than troubleshoot with customers with limited technical knowledge.
Remote access tool was one of many changes being implemented as a result of feedback
programs involving more than 700,000 Australians.
Trials reveal this new approach reduces the average time it takes to resolve support
issues and will increase the number of cases resolved on the first call
Information security experts have warned that handing control of computers to anonymous
Telstra IT workers was not a good idea.
