An Inquiry has found a tsunami of need for Northern Territory's child protection system. This failure has pushed the NT Government for immediate action.
An article on the SMH today has reported that the inquiry found: "between January and July this year, the system failed to investigate an average 797 cases every month" Cases included children in households with chronic gambling, illicit drug use and poor adult supervision.
Over 147 radical changes have been called for of the NT Labor Government. According to SMH, the Government have promised to do so.
