Income Tax and GST Point-in-Time Services Enhanced

Rulings and Determinations now linked at section level to the legislation contained in the service.

For those who need to regularly refer to Income Tax and GST Rulings and Determinations it is often also necessary to refer to the legislation on which a Ruling or a Determination is based. Our most recent enhancements mean that this functionality is now only an easy mouse click away. Further, not only is it possible to go from ruling, determination etc. to a section but you can also go in the other direction. Yes it only takes a mouse click to go from a section to the ruling etc. to which a section relates.

This feature is easy to use as the following example shows.

Locate a ruling and click on the “Legislation” link. See Figure 1 below:

The “Legislation” link will take you to a list of section links. See Figure 2 below:

Assume you select "ITAA 1997 974-5(1)" from the list then you will link to the text  of section 974-5 of the 1997 Income Tax Act as shown in the image below.

Note that you will also have links back to the Ruling and/or any other Determinations relevant to the section.
